Zatorland is a place where time doesn’t so much flow differently as it simply goes back a few million years. Located in Zator (Małopolska Province), this complex is Europe’s largest park featuring moving dinosaurs and an absolute paradise for families with children.
Zatorland is not a single park, but a complex of four themed zones that you can explore with a single ticket:
- Moving Dinosaur Park: The heart of Zatorland. Hidden in a dense forest are over 100 specimens that roar and move their heads. The star is the Argentinosaurus—the world’s largest moving dinosaur, measuring 35 meters in length.
- Mythology Park: A unique spot on the water. During a water tram ride, you’ll pass statues of Greek gods, heroes, and mythical creatures. They’re accompanied by dancing fountains and a replica of the Greek Acropolis.
- Insect Park: Here, the tables turn, and you’ll feel small. You’ll encounter 28 giant insect figures (including a moving cockroach and a praying mantis) as well as the Traffic Town.
- Amusement Park: Classic fun—from the giant Ferris wheel, through the 5D Extreme Cinema, to 3D simulators and the upside-down house.
History of the amusement park
The park opened in 2009 as “DinoZatorland.” Initially, it focused mainly on an educational trail featuring dinosaurs, but it quickly gained popularity, which allowed for the addition of new zones (Mythology and Insects). Today, it covers approximately 20 hectares and is one of the most important attractions on the tourist map of Małopolska, emphasizing a combination of education (educational trails) with pure entertainment.
