Movie Park Attractions

Movie Park Germany is a place where everyone can feel like a big-screen star. Located in Bottrop-Kirchhellen, it is a one-of-a-kind theme park in Europe entirely dedicated to the world of film. If you love thrills, meeting Nickelodeon characters, or simply the smell of popcorn in the morning, then Movie Park is just for you.
The park is divided into themed zones where you’ll find various attractions and roller coasters, each offering a different level of adrenaline:

  • Star Trek: Operation Enterprise: The world’s only Star Trek-licensed roller coaster. It’s a “triple-launch coaster” that shoots you up and down, performing complex maneuvers in interstellar space.
  • Movie Park Studio Tour: A multi-dimensional family roller coaster that takes you behind the scenes of a film production. It combines a classic ride with special effects and 3D technology.
  • Van Helsing’s Factory: A fast, dark ride where you hunt vampires. Perfect for fans of horror with a touch of humor.
  • Nickland: Europe’s largest children’s zone. Your kids will meet Paw Patrol, SpongeBob, and The Fairly OddParents here.
  • Area 51- Top Secret: A revamped version of the classic water ride where you’ll uncover the secrets of extraterrestrial civilizations.

History of the Theme Park

The park opened in 1996 as Warner Bros. Movie World. Over the years, it was home to Bugs Bunny and Batman. In 2005, after changing ownership to the Palamon Capital group, the park underwent a rebranding and became Movie Park Germany. Since 2010, it has been owned by the Spanish group Parques Reunidos. Despite losing some of its Warner licenses, the park has adapted well to its new reality, introducing its own unique brands and collaborating with giants such as Nickelodeon and CBS.
