Holiday Park in Germany

Holiday Park Pfalz is an amusement park near the town of Haßloch in southwest Germany. The Holiday park is on the route between Mannheim and Karlsruhe. The park was opened in 1971 and extends over an area of approximately 40 hectares. There are many roller coasters in the park, including the famous Expedition GeForce, Sky Scream, as well as many carousels and water attractions.

Holiday Park Attractions

The attractions in the park are suitable for both younger and older visitors.

  • Expedition GeForce – speed 120km/h, height 53m
  • Sky Scream – speed 100km/h, height 45m
  • Tabalugas – speed 39km/h, height 9m

Among the merry-go-rounds, the FreeFall Tower – a 77m high freefall tower, the Big Wave – a spinning circular platform or the Wellenflug can also be appreciated.
The whole is complemented by water attractions, such as DinoSplash, Wickie Splash, Dickie splash slides, as well as a water playground.

History of the amusement park

The theme park was opened in 1971 by the Schneider family near the town of Haßloch. In 2010, the park was taken over by the Belgian company Studio 100 (owner of the Plopsa brand and the theme park chain). With licences for Wickie, Pippi Langstrumpf, Maya the Bee, Tabaluga or Heidi, the park was redeveloped with themed attractions as well as new roller coasters. In 2017, 630,000 visitors came to the Holiday Park.

Holiday Park is to the Belgian TV and animation production company Studio 100, based in Schelle. The responsible entity is HolidayPark GmbH, Holiday-Park-Straße 1-5, 67454 Hassloch/Pfalz, Germany.

Price list and opening hours

Like any theme park, Holiday Park is open from 10 am to 6 pm from spring to late autumn, with the covered part of Majaland also open at weekends in winter. On additional days such as Halloween and Christmas, there are themed attractions for visitors. Tickets are available from the ticket offices at the complex and can also be pre-ordered from home to avoid unnecessary queues. Tickets can be paid for by credit card, quick bank transfer, normal bank transfer or Paypal. The purchased tickets can be printed out or stored electronically on a smartphone or tablet. Children under 85 centimeters have free admission to the amusement park, admission prices start at 17 euros in summer and 13 euros in winter. Those who want to visit the Holiday Park frequently will certainly be interested in the annual passes, which allow them to visit the park several times throughout the year.

Getting to Holiday Park

The Holiday Park is located near the town of Haßloch in southwest Germany. The town is near Mannheim/Ludwigshafen, south of Frankfurt am Main. The A65 and A61 motorways pass close to Haßloch, so access from the motorway is not complicated. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the park.

The park can also be reached by train and there is a shuttle bus that takes visitors from the city to the holiday park.

Accommodation

The Holiday Park website offers information on accommodation near the theme park. The website does not have a hotel directly on the park grounds, but cooperates with the Steigenberger Hotel in Deidesheim.

6. If the discount is correct, the value of your order will be reduced by the discount due.
